Senior OT Network Integration Engineer - Global Projects

About the role

As the Senior OT Network Integration Engineer , you will take a hands-on technical role in the delivery and integration of network infrastructure across complex OT and industrial environments.

Working as part of a focused project delivery team, you will support network design, configuration, integration, hardening, testing and commissioning, acting as a technical point of contact on site and working directly with clients, vendors and design authorities to resolve complex network integration challenges.

This is a delivery-focused opportunity requiring strong industrial networking capability, the confidence to operate independently in demanding project environments and the ability to influence technical decisions while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role includes international project deployment, with current opportunities involving periods working on client site in Dubai. This provides the opportunity to work across major engineering and construction programmes and gain exposure to complex international OT environments.

As a Senior OT Network Integration Engineer, you will:

• Support the design and delivery of network infrastructure for critical infrastructure and industrial projects
• Configure, integrate and troubleshoot industrial and enterprise switches, firewalls and associated network infrastructure
• Apply strong networking knowledge across TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching
• Support the integration of vendor systems and equipment into OT network environments
• Apply network device hardening in accordance with industry best practices and project requirements
• Undertake network integration, testing and commissioning activities
• Troubleshoot complex network and vendor integration issues throughout project delivery
• Act as a technical point of contact on site, working as part of a small, focused delivery team
• Produce accurate technical documentation and diagrams, including design specifications, test plans and commissioning documentation
• Work closely with engineering, construction, network integration and cyber security teams
• Liaise with design authorities to resolve technical issues and develop solutions within defined design constraints
• Work directly with senior client stakeholders, influencing and guiding technical decisions
• Challenge proposed approaches appropriately where required while maintaining positive client relationships
• Deliver effectively within structured, fast-paced project environments and demanding delivery timescales

Requirements

You’ll bring strong hands-on network engineering experience combined with practical knowledge of OT / ICS and industrial network environments.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching
• Hands-on experience configuring firewalls, switches and associated network infrastructure
• Experience working with industrial networking products and environments
• Knowledge and practical experience of OT / ICS environments and industrial networking
• Experience designing or delivering network solutions within critical infrastructure or industrial projects
• Experience with network device hardening in line with industry best practices and standards
• Strong network troubleshooting and technical problem-solving capability
• Experience supporting vendor network integration
• Experience supporting network testing and commissioning activities
• Ability to produce accurate network diagrams, design documentation, test plans and commissioning documentation
• Experience working within structured engineering or technical project delivery environments
• Confidence operating as a technical point of contact within a site environment
• Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge appropriately
• Ability to work effectively with vendors, engineering teams, cyber security specialists and design authorities
• Experience across engineering, construction, network integration and/or cyber security projects
• Networking certification such as CCNA or CCNP
• Flexibility to undertake international project deployment, including periods working on client site in Dubai
