Financial Controller

We're looking for a Financial Controller to own our finances - the monthly close, cash, reporting and compliance. We're also taking finance towards automation and AI, so we want someone who already works with AI tools, understands what they can and can't do, and is excited to help us get there.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Own the monthly close end to end - reconciliations, accruals, and a clean, on-time set of numbers every month. Nothing gets signed off that you haven't checked.
• Forecast and monitor cash flow, stay on top of invoicing and collections, and flag risks early.
• Produce the monthly reports and explain what they mean and where the risk is, so leadership can act.
• Work with project leads to keep an eye on project profitability and margins.
• Review and approve payments and spend , and own the financial controls and policies that protect the company.
• Own tax, audits, filings and deadlines - coordinating the external accountants and auditors who handle execution, and making sure the output is right.
• Be the internal point of contact for anything financial : set and communicate spend policies and explain the numbers to colleagues who don't live in spreadsheets.
• Help us move manual finance work into automated, AI-supported processes .

Requirements

Who are you?

You have 5+ years in accounting and finance, ideally combining audit and in-house control. What matters to us:

• You understand the craft deeply - but you're not a bookkeeper. You know accounting, tax and payroll well enough to direct and challenge the work, not just receive it. We work with external accountants and auditors; you won't be doing the bookkeeping or running payroll yourself, but you'll know it well enough to steer those partners, catch what's wrong, and own the final result.
• You think in cash. You can tell leadership in two sentences what we can and can't afford.
• You turn numbers into decisions. Your reports are clear and simple, and people act on them.
• You communicate across the company. You explain finance to non-finance people and keep stakeholders accountable to their budgets without friction.
• You're AI-fluent and automation-minded. You use AI tools daily and love taking manual work out of a process.
• You're ready to lead. You've managed or mentored people before, or you're ready to - as finance grows, so can your team.
• You communicate clearly. Fluent in Greek and English.
• You care. At REBORRN, we don't accept the "that's not my job" mentality. If someone spills coffee on the floor, you grab a mop.
