Insurance Verification Specialist
Job Title: Insurance Verification Specialist Position Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:)0 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Monday - Friday
Salary rate: $5 first 3 months, $6 after
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
- Verify patient coverage, plan details, effective dates, copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and other relevant benefits.
- Review insurance information through payer portals, phone systems, and other verification channels.
- Handle real-time verification requests during practice hours and respond promptly to time-sensitive inquiries.
- Identify discrepancies, inactive coverage, or missing insurance information and communicate findings to the appropriate team.
- Document verification results accurately and maintain organized patient and insurance records.
- Communicate professionally with insurance representatives, healthcare staff, and other relevant parties.
- Follow established workflows, payer requirements, and internal procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle patient information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
Requirements
- Has 1 year of prior experience in insurance verification or insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
- Hands-on experience with Veradigm is highly preferred.
- Experience working with insurance payer portals and/or insurance companies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems and maintain organized documentation.
- Experience in medical billing, patient access, revenue cycle management, or healthcare administration is an advantage.
Basic Requirements
- Must speak and write English clearly and professionally.
- Must have relevant work experience.
- Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
- Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.

- Computer: Reliable laptop or desktop computer.
- Internet: Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps).
- Audio: Noise-canceling headset.
- Video: Working webcam for virtual meetings.
