グラジュエイトコミッショニングエンジニアは、STACKのコミッショニングチームの一員として、大規模なミッションクリティカル・データセンターインフラの試験、コミッショニング、および運用開始準備を支援します。

本ポジションは、データセンターエンジニアリングおよびコミッショニングの分野でキャリアを築き、将来的にコミッショニングマネジメントを担うことを目指す新卒エンジニア向けの、体系的な育成ポジションです。

業務は主に建設現場およびプロジェクトを中心に行い、データセンターの建設からコミッショニングまでのライフサイクル全体を通じて、機械・電気・制御システムに関する実務経験を積みます。STACKのコミッショニングマネージャー、コミッショニングエージェント（CxA）、施工会社、機器ベンダー、コンサルタント、オペレーションチームと連携しながら、複雑なミッションクリティカル施設を安全かつ確実にコミッショニングするために必要な技術力、プロジェクトマネジメント力、リーダーシップを身につけます。

本育成プログラムでは、能力・経験・実績が確認された場合、約12か月後にコミッショニングエンジニアへ、その後段階的に責任範囲を広げ、約3～5年後にコミッショニングマネージャーへ成長することを目標としています。

主な業務内容

コミッショニングおよび技術力の育成

データセンターの機械・電気・制御システムに関するコミッショニングの計画、調整、実施において、STACKコミッショニングチームを支援します。

受配電設備、UPS、発電機、スイッチギア、冷却設備、制御／BMS、防火・人命安全設備、および関連するデータセンターインフラなど、ミッションクリティカル設備に関する実践的な知識を習得します。

機器およびシステムの検査に参加し、施工が承認済み設計、仕様書、およびSTACKの要求事項に適合していることを確認します。

設計図、仕様書、機器承認図書、単線結線図、系統図、その他の技術文書のレビューを支援します。

MEP（機械・電気・配管）設計を読み解き、ミッションクリティカルなデータセンター環境において各システムがどのように連携・相互作用するかを理解する力を身につけます。

試験およびコミッショニング

機器およびシステムのコミッショニング試験スクリプトの作成、レビュー、実施を支援します。

機器の起動、機能試験、統合システム試験など、経験に応じてより複雑なコミッショニング業務に参加します。

STACKのコミッショニングLevel 1～5のプロセスを経験し、習熟度の向上に伴ってLevel 4およびLevel 5の試験業務も支援します。

必要に応じてFactory Witness Test（FWT：工場立会試験）やその他のベンダー試験に参加します。

施工会社、ベンダー、CxAコミッショニングチームと連携し、設置された機器およびシステムが設計仕様とSTACKの要求事項に従って動作することを確認します。

これらの業務を段階的に経験することで、最終的にはコミッショニングスケジュールの調整、試験スクリプトの承認、FWTの管理、施工会社・ベンダーの統括、設計要求に対するシステムの設置・動作確認を担うSTACKコミッショニングマネージャーの職責へとつながります。

現場・品質・安全

現場検査、施設ウォークダウン、機器検査、引渡し業務、パンチリストのレビューに参加します。

機器の設置、起動、コミッショニングに関するQA/QC活動を支援します。

STACKのコミッショニング管理システムを使用し、コミッショニング上の課題の特定、記録、追跡、クローズを支援します。

安全な作業システムへの理解を深め、すべてのコミッショニング活動において安全を最優先とします。

技術上・施工上の問題を特定し、根本原因を調査し、施工会社、ベンダー、コンサルタントと協力して解決する方法を学びます。

これらの経験は、QA/QC、機器検査、課題管理、施設ウォークダウンの監督、およびコミッショニング全体を通じた安全な作業慣行の確保というCxMの責任に直接つながります。

プロジェクト調整およびステークホルダー管理

コミッショニングスケジュール、進捗管理、プロジェクト報告、ゼネコン（GC）、CxAコンサルタント、機器ベンダー、STACK社内関係者との調整において、コミッショニングマネージャーを支援します。

コミッショニング、建設、プロジェクト調整会議に参加し、経験に応じて担当アクションやワークストリームへの責任を段階的に担います。

コミッショニング、建設、設計、オペレーション各チーム間の調整を支援し、プロジェクトの円滑な遂行と施設引渡しに貢献します。

顧客、コンサルタント、施工会社、ベンダー、社内チームと効果的に連携するためのコミュニケーション力およびステークホルダー管理能力を身につけます。

必要に応じて、コミッショニング状況の更新資料、報告書、技術文書を作成します。

経験を積むにつれて、STACKコミッショニングマネージャーの監督のもと、担当するコミッショニングパッケージを主体的に管理し、施工会社、ベンダー、CxAリソースを調整します。

この経験は重要です。STACKのCxMは最終的に、CxAコンサルタントの管理、GC／CxA／社内関係者の調整、ベンダー活動の管理、オペレーション部門への引渡し調整、顧客との直接対応を担うためです。

キャリア育成パス

本ポジションは、3年間の体系的なコミッショニング・キャリア育成プログラムとして設計されています。

1年目 – グラジュエイトコミッショニングエンジニア

体系的な研修、メンタリング、実際のプロジェクト経験を通じて、データセンターのコミッショニングに必要な技術基盤を構築します。経験豊富なコミッショニングマネージャーやCxAチームとともに、検査、機器起動、試験、文書作成、コミッショニング調整に参加します。

目標：能力と実績が確認された場合、約12か月後にコミッショニングエンジニアへ昇格。

2～3年目 – コミッショニングエンジニア

機器およびシステムのコミッショニングパッケージについて、より大きな責任を担います。施工会社・ベンダーの調整、FAT/FWT、機能試験・統合試験への参加、コミッショニング課題の管理、プロジェクト報告および引渡しを支援します。

コミッショニング活動を自立して管理するために必要な技術的判断力、リーダーシップ、ステークホルダー管理能力を養います。

目標：能力、プロジェクト経験、実績が確認された場合、約3～5年後にコミッショニングマネージャーへ昇格。

コミッショニングマネージャーのレベルでは、コミッショニング全体の遂行管理、CxAコンサルタント、スケジュール、L4/L5試験、ベンダー調整、QA/QC、オペレーションへの引渡し、顧客対応など、STACKの既存コミッショニングマネージャーポジションで定められた責任を担うことが期待されます。

学歴

• 機械工学、電気工学、制御工学、メカトロニクス、建築設備工学、または関連する工学分野の学士号。
• 新卒者、および関連するインターンシップまたは業界経験が3年以内の方を歓迎します。
• 大学、工科大学、高等専門学校・工学系教育機関などを卒業予定または卒業した方で、本ポジションに適した資格・専攻を有する方を歓迎します。

技術スキル・知識

• 機械、電気、または制御工学の原理に関する基礎知識。

勤務地・異動／出張

• 最初の1年間は、主にSTACK東京オフィスおよび千葉県印西市周辺のSTACK建設現場を拠点とします。その後の育成期間2年間は、関東近郊のデータセンター建設プロジェクトを主な勤務地とします。その後は、日本国内およびAPAC地域の他のSTACKプロジェクトを支援する機会が生じる可能性があります。
• そのため、観光近郊エリアのプロジェクト勤務地へ転居できる方、または無理なく通勤できる範囲に居住できる方を求めます。

Graduate Commissioning Engineer

STACK Infrastructure – Japan Location: Tokyo

About the Role

The Graduate Commissioning Engineer will join the STACK Commissioning team and support the testing, commissioning and operational readiness of large-scale mission-critical Data Centre infrastructure.

This is a structured development role designed for engineering graduates who want to build a career in Data Centre Engineering, commissioning and ultimately progress into Commissioning Management.

The role will be primarily site and project based, with the graduate gaining practical experience across mechanical, electrical and controls systems throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle of Data Centers. Working alongside STACK Commissioning Managers, Commissioning Agents (CxA), contractors, equipment vendors, consultants and Operations teams, the graduate will develop the technical, project management and leadership skills required to commission complex mission-critical facilities safely and successfully.

The programme is intended to develop successful graduates toward a Commissioning Engineer role after approximately 12 months, followed by progressive responsibility with the objective of becoming a Commissioning Manager after approximately three to five years, subject to demonstrated competency, experience and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning & Technical Development

Support STACK's Commissioning team in planning, coordinating and executing the commissioning of Data Centre mechanical, electrical and controls systems.

Develop practical knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure including electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, cooling systems, controls/BMS, fire and life-safety systems and associated Data Centre infrastructure.

Participate in equipment and system inspections to verify that installations comply with approved designs, specifications and STACK requirements.

Assist with the review of engineering drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, single-line diagrams, schematics and other technical documentation.

Develop the ability to read and interpret MEP designs and understand how individual systems interact within a mission-critical Data Centre environment.

Testing & Commissioning

Support the development, review and execution of equipment and system commissioning test scripts.

Participate in progressively more complex commissioning activities, including equipment start-up, functional testing and integrated systems testing.

Gain exposure to STACK's commissioning Levels 1–5 process and, with increasing experience, support Level 4 and Level 5 testing activities.

Attend Factory Witness Tests (FWT) and other vendor testing activities where required.

Work with contractors, vendors and the CxA commissioning team to verify that installed equipment and systems operate in accordance with design specifications and STACK requirements.

The progression toward these activities reflects the responsibilities of STACK Commissioning Managers, who ultimately coordinate commissioning schedules, approve scripts, manage FWT activities and lead contractors and vendors to execute testing and confirm system installation and operation against design requirements.

Site, Quality & Safety

Participate in site inspections, facility walkdowns, equipment inspections, turnover activities and punch-list reviews.

Support QA/QC activities relating to equipment installation, start-up and commissioning.

Assist in identifying, documenting, tracking and closing commissioning issues using STACK's commissioning management systems.

Develop an understanding of safe systems of work and ensure that safety remains the highest priority during all commissioning activities.

Learn to identify technical and installation issues, investigate root causes and work collaboratively with contractors, vendors and consultants to achieve resolution.

These activities build directly toward the CxM's responsibility for supervising QA/QC, equipment inspections, issue management and facility walkdowns and ensuring safe working practices throughout commissioning.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management

Support Commissioning Managers with commissioning schedules, progress tracking, project reporting and coordination with General Contractors, CxA consultants, equipment vendors and STACK internal stakeholders.

Attend commissioning, construction and project coordination meetings and progressively take responsibility for assigned actions and workstreams.

Assist with coordination between the Commissioning, Construction, Design and Operations teams to support successful project delivery and facility handover.

Develop the communication and stakeholder-management skills required to work effectively with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams.

Prepare commissioning status updates, reports and technical documentation as required.

As experience develops, take ownership of defined commissioning packages and coordinate contractors, vendors and CxA resources under the supervision of a STACK Commissioning Manager.

This exposure is important because STACK's CxMs ultimately manage CxA consultants, coordinate GC/CxA/internal stakeholders, manage vendor activities, coordinate handover to Operations and engage directly with customers.

Development Pathway

This position is designed as a structured three-year commissioning career pathway.

Year 1 – Graduate Commissioning Engineer

Build the technical foundations required for Data Centre commissioning through structured training, mentoring and hands-on project experience. Work alongside experienced Commissioning Managers and CxA teams and participate in inspections, equipment start-up, testing, documentation and commissioning coordination.

Target progression: Commissioning Engineer after approximately 12 months, subject to demonstrated competency and performance.

Years 2–3 – Commissioning Engineer

Take increasing ownership of equipment and system commissioning packages. Coordinate contractors and vendors, participate in FAT/FWT and functional and integrated testing, manage commissioning issues and support project reporting and handover.

Develop the technical judgement, leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities required to independently manage commissioning activities.

Target progression: Commissioning Manager after approximately three to five years, subject to demonstrated competency, project experience and performance.

At Commissioning Manager level, the individual is expected to progress toward responsibility for managing commissioning delivery, CxA consultants, schedules, L4/L5 testing, vendor coordination, QA/QC, operational handover and customer engagement; the responsibilities defined in STACK's existing Commissioning Manager position.

Candidate Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls, Mechatronics, Building Services Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to three years of relevant internship or industry experience are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates graduating from universities, technical universities and engineering colleges are encouraged to apply where their qualification is appropriate for the role.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Good foundation in mechanical, electrical or controls engineering principles.
• Interest in learning how complex M&E systems are built and operate together within mission-critical facilities.
• Ability or willingness to develop the ability to read electrical single-line diagrams, mechanical schematics, controls diagrams, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with engineering, construction or project-management software is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic English language proficiency with the willingness to progress to full professional English proficiency within three years.
• Japanese language proficiency at the JLPT N2 level or higher, or equivalent or higher.

The technical development is deliberately aligned with the capabilities required at CxM level, including interpreting MEP designs and schematics, understanding mission-critical design concepts and using commissioning/project management tools.

Location & Mobility

• For the initial first year, the position will be based primarily at STACK's Japan headquarter office in Tokyo and Stack’s construction sites near Inzai, Chiba prefecture. For the two subsequent years of the development period, the position will be based on a new project in Kanto region. The role may subsequently provide opportunities to support other STACK projects in Japan and across the APAC region.
• Candidates should therefore be willing to relocate to, or live within reasonable commuting distance of, the data center construction project in Kanto region.
• Overseas travel may be required for factory testing, training and other project activities. The existing CxM role similarly includes regional project support and travel requirements.
