Our client, a boutique law firm in estate planning and probate for high-net-worth individuals and small business owners, is seeking a well-experienced Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal to join their in-office team in Sugar Land, Texas. Role Overview:

You will assist attorneys in delivering exceptional service to valued clients, supporting estate planning and uncontested probate matters from start to finish. This is a hands-on, client-facing position for a proactive professional who thrives in a supportive, high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft estate planning and probate documents and packages.
  • Compile, draft, and assemble estate planning packages based on skill, attorney notes and client questionnaires.
  • Gather any missing information from clients.
  • Prepare, organize, and participate in signings (Notary Public required, or ability to obtain).
  • Review legal documents for logical inconsistencies and errors.
  • Provide organizational support to attorneys, keeping track of client matters and court dockets.
  • Draft professional client communications via email. Respond promptly to client inquiries. Keep clients informed about status, as needed.
  • Maintain organized electronic files.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of estate planning paralegal experience
  • 8+ years of probate paralegal experience
  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong English, spelling, grammar, and proofing skills
  • Accurate keyboarding (80wpm+)
  • Ability to read cursive writing
  • Business professional attire and appearance
  • Superior communication skills with domestic and international clients
  • Proactive, accountable, and detail-oriented
  • Team player who thrives in a culture of support and shared success
  • Empathic communicator and active listening skills

Must have

  • Advanced-level estate planning paralegal experience
  • Advanced-level probate paralegal experience
  • Integrity and professional conduct
  • In-office, on-site work environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Stable work history and references
  • Tech-savvy
