THE TEAM

The founders, Catheryn and Zach, met while running software teams at Y Combinator, where they shipped products used by YC founders. Cat previously worked at Instagram and Facebook and studied mathematics and computer science at MIT. Zach studied computer science and statistics at the University of Chicago and led software at PEAK6.

We are a fast-growing, highly collaborative team working together from our San Francisco office.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly organized and energetic Field Marketing Associate to help Simple AI create memorable in-person and virtual experiences for customers, prospects, and partners.

You will help plan and execute conferences, executive dinners, webinars, partner programs, and local activations. You will own the operational details that turn an idea into a successful event—from timelines, venues, vendors, and attendee outreach through onsite execution and post-event follow-up.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing people together, managing many moving pieces, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams and travel approximately 25% of the time.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Plan and execute conferences, trade shows, executive dinners, webinars, partner events, and local activations.
• Build project plans, timelines, budgets, checklists, and run-of-show documents.
• Coordinate venues, vendors, speakers, catering, travel, signage, collateral, and event technology.
• Partner with Sales on invitations, attendee targeting, onsite conversations, and follow-up.
• Represent Simple AI professionally at events and build relationships with customers, prospects, and partners.
• Manage multiple events and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining a high bar for detail.
• Create repeatable event playbooks and improve how the team plans and executes future programs.
• Travel approximately 25% to support events and field programs.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Relevant experience in field marketing, event marketing, community, partnerships, or a closely related role.
• Exceptional organizational and project-management skills.
• Evidence of personally organizing events, programs, or communities—not merely attending or advising.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Confidence working with vendors, teammates, executives, customers, and prospects.
• A proactive, resourceful approach to solving problems before they affect an event.
• Willingness to work full-time from our San Francisco office and travel approximately 25%.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience at a B2B SaaS, AI, or high-growth technology company.
• Experience supporting conferences, executive dinners, webinars, or partner events.
• Meaningful campus leadership, such as running a student organization, entrepreneurship club, conference, fundraiser, student government program.
• Familiarity with CRM, event-management, or marketing-automation tools.
• A strong academic record and demonstrated leadership in a high-achievement environment.
