Job Purpose

The Senior Sustainability Manager is responsible for spearheading the organization’s sustainability agenda across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) pillars. This role will work cross-functionally to implement strategic sustainability initiatives, improve reporting practices, and ensure alignment with global standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sustainability Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of company-wide sustainability strategies and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed sustainability into core business functions and operations.
  • Stay updated on global sustainability trends and advise the leadership team on implications and opportunities.

Sustainability Programs Implementation

  • Evaluate current operations for opportunities to reduce the company’s environmental footprint.
  • Lead initiatives in energy efficiency, carbon emissions reduction, waste minimization, and water conservation.
  • Promote a company-wide sustainability culture through employee engagement and education.

ESG Data Management & Reporting

  • Oversee collection and validation of sustainability metrics.
  • Develop and maintain annual ESG/sustainability reports in line with global standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, ISSB, HKEX).
  • Prepare and maintain the organization’s greenhouse gas inventory.
  • Coordinate third-party verifications and manage environmental certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001).
  • Support the organization’s ESG ratings improvement efforts by managing survey submissions and investor queries.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sustainability, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and environmental management systems.
  • Proven track record in implementing sustainability strategies and programs.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Experience in data analysis tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
