About the Team

Our international and agile team is looking for support from a motivated person as a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) . Do you want to revolutionize space travel in New Space? Then you've come to the right place.

Your Tasks

• Develop, update and maintain requirements and architecture of expendable and reusable launch vehicles and ground systems
• Coordination of activities between the various technical departments and interfaces (vehicle, propulsion, software, avionics, ground systems)
• Perform trade-offs (mass, cost, functionality, complexity and reliability) for vehicle and ground systems
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design, test and operational documentation
• Interpret test results and derive quantitative reliability of the systems
• Aid in the formulation of tools/strategies to enhance the operational efficiency of day-to-day engineering tasks.
• Manage and maintain verification/test cases for launch vehicle and ground systems

Your Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering, physics or related discipline 2 to 4 years’ work experience in aerospace industry
• Knowledge of and passion for launch vehicle systems and operations
• Hands-on experience in student team projects, competitive events, hands-on projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hydraulic pneumatic systems, control systems, fluid and structure mechanics, and instrumentation, as well as how different disciplines interface with one another
• Good knowledge and practical experience with Python to create tools/automation scripts is beneficial
• Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English), German is beneficial
• Experience with requirements engineering and risk analysis (FMECA/FTA) is beneficial
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Highly organized and proactive approach to your work Maintain a positive and constructive attitude in the face of technical and non-technical challenges
