Director of Patient Access & Scheduling Atlanta, GA | Healthcare Operations Robbins Recruiting Solutions is partnering with a growing, multi-site specialty healthcare organization to identify an experienced Director of Patient Access & Scheduling. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a hands-on healthcare operations leader who can build scalable processes, improve patient access, optimize scheduling and procedure capacity, and lead a high-performing centralized team. The Director will oversee the patient journey from referral or physician order through authorization, scheduling, procedure readiness, and completed care. This leader will work closely with physicians, practice administrators, clinical teams, revenue cycle, ASC leadership, and operational leaders to improve access, reduce cancellations and schedule gaps, and create a consistent patient experience across multiple locations. What You'll Lead Centralized patient access and scheduling across multiple clinic and procedural locations Patient and procedure scheduling, rescheduling, outreach, confirmations, and cancellation recovery Staffing models, productivity standards, service levels, and workforce coverage Processes surrounding prior authorization, insurance verification, patient clearance, and procedure readiness Schedule optimization designed to reduce cancellations, no-shows, gaps, and lost procedure volume Performance dashboards, KPIs, operating reviews, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives Managers, supervisors, and frontline team members, creating strong accountability and consistent execution Cross-functional initiatives with physicians, ASC leadership, revenue cycle, clinical teams, and site operations Operational support for organizational growth, new locations, acquisitions, and integrations The scope reflects the original position's emphasis on schedule stability, authorization coordination, data-driven performance management, and change leadership.
