Red Badge Group is looking for a reliable and professional Security Van Driver to join our team at Ports of Auckland . This is a unique role combining access control responsibilities with driving duties across a large, fast-paced operational environment.

About the role

As a Security Van Driver, you'll play a key role in maintaining security and supporting daily site operations across the Ports of Auckland precinct. You'll work on a rotating roster covering both 0600-1800 and 1800-0600 and will include both weekend and weekday work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a company security vehicle across the port environment
• Conducting access control and verification checks
• Monitoring and controlling the movement of people and vehicles
• Responding to incidents, alarms, and security requests
• Providing excellent customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors
• Completing patrols and security checks across designated areas
• Accurately completing reports and incident documentation
• Supporting compliance with site security, health and safety, and operational procedures

What you'll bring

• Full New Zealand Driver Licence (essential)
• Current Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Good situational awareness and sound judgement
• High levels of reliability, punctuality, and personal presentation
• Ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider team
• Previous security, patrol, transport, logistics, or port experience is advantageous but not essential
