Product Manager

The Product Manager will shape our Warehouse Management System (WMS), tightly integrated with our ASRS to drive automation. Designed for flexibility, the WMS adapts to diverse logistics needs through configuration, not customization. Over time, this role will also lead to the integration of WMS with our state-of-the-art fleet management system, building toward a unified Warehouse Operating System. This is both a hands-on opportunity to deliver immediate customer value and a strategic role in shaping the future of automated logistics.
Role Overview
In this position, you will lead product development for a Warehouse Management System (WMS) that is tightly integrated with the ASRS.
This WMS emphasizes flexibility and is designed to support a wide range of logistics needs through configuration rather than customization.
In the future, you will also drive integration with a cutting-edge fleet management system and help build an integrated Warehouse Operating System.
Key Responsibilities
Understanding User Needs and Customer Engagement
- Communicate directly with customers to understand operational flows, pain points, and success metrics
- Use design thinking and human-centered design to deliver valuable solutions
Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmap
- Work with senior product leaders to shape and refine the product vision
- Align features with business goals based on customer insights and operational data
Backlog Management (ART)
- Manage the backlog for ASRS and WMS integration
- Clarify acceptance criteria, prioritize items, and ensure alignment with the architecture
Continuous Value Delivery
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to deliver high-quality releases
- Maximize customer value through demos, PI planning, and related initiatives
Requirements
- Fluent in Japanese
- English: able to participate in internal meetings at a business level or above
- Strong logical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly
- Ability to understand and break down business requirements and system requirements
Practical experience in at least one of the following:
- Design or development of business systems such as ERP, WMS, OMS, or TMS
- Interface or integration development with the above systems
- Ability to read and understand Data Flow Diagrams (DFD)
