Facility Security Officer

ProSync is looking for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) who will be responsible for managing all aspects of industrial security, personnel security, and classified program compliance within a federal contracting environment. The FSO provides onsite support for daily security operations, oversees the full lifecycle of personnel clearances, maintains accountability of sensitive materials, and ensures the organization’s continued eligibility to participate in classified programs.

This role serves as the primary liaison between the company and government security representatives, conducts briefings and debriefings, monitors controlled areas, and performs periodic self‑inspections to maintain a strong security posture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Personnel Security Operations:

• Clearance Processing - Manage initiation, tracking, maintenance, and debriefing for Public Trust through TS/SCI and polygraph‑level clearances.
• Daily operation of DISS, NBIS, eQIP, Scattered Castles, and legacy systems such as JPAS/SII for eligibility checks, investigations, and record maintenance.
• Visit Requests - Process badges, VARs, certifications, and access requirements for government facilities.
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, and annual refresher training.
• Maintain personnel security files, adverse information reporting, and reinvestigation tracking.

Industrial Security & Classified Program Management:

• DD254 Management - Prepare, issue, update, and maintain DD254s for classified contracts and subcontractor flow‑downs.
• Maintain classified materials receipt, logging, control, dissemination, and destruction.
• Maintain accountability of government‑furnished classified information, equipment, and media.
• Monitor controlled areas and ensure proper safeguarding measures are in place.
• Oversee courier authorizations, secure storage requirements, and transmission procedures.

Compliance, Audits & Inspections

• Conduct periodic self‑inspections and support formal government security reviews.
• Maintain facility clearance eligibility and personnel access certifications.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, contractual, and internal security requirements.
• Prepare documentation, metrics, and corrective actions for inspections and audits.

Security Programs & Policy Development

• Security Plans & SOPs - Create, update, and maintain security plans, procedures, and instructions.
• Develop and administer a comprehensive security education and training program.
• Support Insider Threat Program requirements in coordination with the ITPSO.
• Maintain strong working relationships with government security offices and internal leadership.

General Administrative Security Duties

• Maintain certification and accreditation of facility eligibility and personnel access.
• Assure compliance with all government and company security requirements.
• Perform other security‑related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must hold an active Top Secret Security Clearance to qualify for this position.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial security, personnel security, or classified program management.
• Expert proficiency with: DISS, NBIS, eQIP, Scattered Castles. JPAS/SII.
• Strong understanding of classified contract requirements and DD254 interpretation.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive personnel actions, high‑volume clearance pipelines, and classified accountability requirements.
• Experience conducting self‑inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Experience running an ITPSO program is highly desirable.
