Broking Assistant

Our client, a growing company in the reinsurance sector is looking for a Broking Assistant. They are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support the Brokerage team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Broking Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our brokerage team and ensuring smooth operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the placement of risks with insurers and reinsurers
• Prepare and issue of Cover Notes, Slips and related documentation
• Liaise with Cedants, Reinsurers and internal departments
• Maintain accurate records and follow up on outstanding documentation
• Uphold the strictest confidentiality regarding all client, placement, and company proprietary information.
• Actively develop your understanding of key (re)insurance terminology, market practices, and placement structures to enhance your effectiveness in the role.

Requirements

Profile of Candidate:

• Degree Holder in Management, International Business, Communication, Finance, or any related field.
• 1 to 2 years working experience in a similar position
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using claims management systems and MS Office Suite
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Proficiency in English and French (both verbal and written)
