System Engineer (AIX)

Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system

• Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system
• Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system
• Perform restores as needed
• Configure automated database deployment
• Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• with at least 3+ years' administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems
• Proficient in IBM AIX , Unix and Power environment
• Fluent in DB2 programming language
• Proficient in database design and development
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization
• Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt
