Sr. Systems Engineer (On-site)

What you'll be doing...
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll serve as a technical authority for the company’s core infrastructure – enterprise virtualization, storage, data protection, computer hardware, identity, endpoint and mobile device management, and hybrid cloud and messaging platforms. You’ll architect, deploy, and maintain highly available VMware environments; design and manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage; own the enterprise backup, replication and disaster recovery infrastructure; and administer Windows Server, AD Domain Services, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Exchange hybrid topologies, along with Copilot and other approved AI services.
- Architect, deploy, configure and maintain high-availability vSphere environments, including vCenter administration.
- Networking, resource allocation, capacity planning and VM lifecycle management.
- Design, provision and troubleshoot enterprise storage arrays.
- Own the enterprise backup and replication infrastructure (VEEAM).
- Ensure appropriate backups performed, monitored and maintained for all servers and appropriate devices at all company locations.
- Plan, document and execute recurring restore and recovery testing in support of the disaster recovery and business continuity program.
- Manage enterprise rack server infrastructure, including firmware upgrades, hardware health monitoring and out-of-band monitoring.
- Configure and install servers, storage, virtualization hosts, desktops, printers, network hardware, software and operating systems in accordance with defined standards.
- Manage, secure and scale hybrid enterprise infrastructure across on-premise environment and cloud platforms (Azure).
- Administer hybrid Exchange topologies and Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
- Maintain Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy Objects, Entra ID tenant security, hybrid identity synchronization, single sign-on integrations, and PKI / internal certificate authorities, in coordination with the security team.
- Owns the enterprise mobile device and endpoint management platform (Microsoft InTune).
- Support the deployment, configuration and ongoing administration of Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI services.
This position is scheduled to work on-site in our Seattle office.
Who you are...
- Educated. Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
- Experienced. 7-10 years’ experience in enterprise systems administration and engineering, including senior or lead level responsibility/experience. Expertise in vSphere 7.x/8.x architecture.
- Knowledgeable. Extensive virtualization and datacenter infrastructure knowledge, SAN/NAS and enterprise backup recovery platforms, M365 Exchange, PowerShell and InTune. Troubleshooting (hardware/software/networks), Windows desktop/server administration Active Directory
- Preferred Experience. VMware VCP or VCAP certification
- Team Player. Work independently and as a productive and contributing member of a team
- Meticulous. Strong attention to detail with ability to quickly assess and analyze problems
