Senior DevOps Engineer

Experience: 5+ years of hands on experience

Location: Newcastle (Must be local, or willing to relocate to Newcastle)

Working pattern: Hybrid- 3 days a week in the Newcastle office

Salary: between £45k- £60k dependent on experience level.

We're looking for experienced DevOps professionals who can provide technical leadership, enhance platform reliability and shape DevOps best practice across delivery teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading DevOps initiatives across complex delivery programmes
  • Driving improvements to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • Supporting platform strategy and architectural decisions
  • Working with stakeholders to define platform requirements
  • Mentoring engineers and promoting DevOps best practice

What we're looking for

  • Strong DevOps engineering experience
  • Expertise in cloud and automation technologies
  • Experience leading technical workstreams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Leading DevOps strategy and implementation across large-scale programmes
  • Advanced CI/CD pipeline architecture and optimisation
  • Cloud platform design and automation expertise
  • Infrastructure as Code strategy, governance and implementation
  • Kubernetes/OpenShift platform management and container orchestration
  • Platform engineering and reliability improvement
  • DevSecOps and automation best practices

  • Mentoring and coaching engineers

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance
