SAP Basis Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to manage, maintain, monitor, and support SAP landscapes and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration , SAP S/4HANA environments, system installations, upgrades, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, transport management, backup/recovery, and SAP system security.

Automotive industry experience is preferred , particularly candidates who have supported SAP environments for automotive OEMs, distributors, dealerships, or automotive-related organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration and technical support.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems.
• Manage SAP landscapes across Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.
• Perform SAP system monitoring and performance optimization.
• Manage SAP transports using CTS/TMS .
• Perform SAP system copies, refreshes, upgrades, patches, and kernel upgrades.
• Manage SAP users, roles, authorizations, and technical security in coordination with security teams.
• Monitor SAP system health, jobs, dumps, locks, and system logs.
• Manage SAP background jobs and scheduling.
• Perform database administration and monitoring for SAP systems.
• Support SAP HANA database environments.
• Manage SAP instances, work processes, RFC connections, and system parameters.
• Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot SAP technical issues and coordinate with SAP functional/technical teams.
• Support SAP interfaces and connectivity with external systems.
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support during SAP implementation, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams.
• Ensure SAP systems follow appropriate security, availability, and performance standards.

• 5+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant/Administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration .
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong experience with SAP HANA database administration and monitoring .
• Experience with SAP installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, and kernel upgrades.
• Experience with Transport Management System (TMS/CTS) .
• Experience with system copies, refreshes, and migrations.
• Experience with SAP performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SAP background jobs, system logs, dumps, locks, and work processes.
• Experience with SAP user administration and technical security.
• Experience with RFC, connectivity, and SAP interfaces.
• Experience with SAP backup and recovery processes.
• Experience with disaster recovery and high-availability concepts is preferred.
• Experience with SAP cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or SAP BTP is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Automotive Experience – Preferred

• Automotive industry experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting SAP landscapes for automotive OEMs, distributors, dealerships, or automotive service organizations is an advantage.
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP environments within the automotive industry is preferred.
• Experience with automotive SAP implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Basis certification is an advantage.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA .
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP Fiori technical administration is a plus.
• Experience with SAP security and authorizations is an advantage.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Azure or AWS .
• Experience with SAP high availability and disaster recovery.
• Experience with SAP system migration and upgrade projects.
• Experience in the GCC/Saudi market is a plus.
• Automotive industry experience is preferred.
