Occupational Therapist

In Person Occupational Therapist (OT) – Channelview, Texas

Full Time | Contract Position | January through May 2027 | Houston Area

MIYO Health is looking for a Texas licensed Occupational Therapist to join one of our school district partners in Channelview, Texas, just outside of Houston .

This is a full time, in-person contracted position beginning in early January when students return from winter break and continuing through the end of the school year in late May.

If you’re looking for a school based opportunity with full time hours but don’t necessarily want to commit to an entire school year, this could be a great fit!

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students based on their IEPs
• Complete evaluations, progress monitoring, and required documentation
• Develop and monitor IEP goals related to occupational therapy needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and other members of the school team
• Travel between assigned school locations as needed

• Location: Channelview, Texas, Houston area
• Schedule: Full time, school based hours
• Start Date: Early January 2027, following winter break
• End Date: Late May 2027
• Setting: In person, school based
• Employment Type: Contracted position
• Mileage: Eligible mileage between assigned school locations will be reimbursed

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Texas Occupational Therapist license
• NBCOT certification
• School based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to travel between school locations within the district as needed
