Malta International Airport plc is looking for dynamic individuals who are passionate about working with people within an Airport environment, are willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within the Airport Operations department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To assist in the duties and responsibilities of the Airside Training Unit.
  • Support the administration and management of the process for issuing and renewing Driving Permits, both Airside Driving Permits (ADP).
  • Deliver Airfield Driving training including practical assessments for Restricted and Unrestricted applicants.
  • Deliver Airfield Driving Pre-qualifications familiarisations training sessions.
  • To guide stakeholders with the mandatory requirements for their training and certification.
  • To support the development, updating and maintaining current the course/training documentation, attendance, instruction booklets & material to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, organise, and schedule training sessions for any operational requirements, including but not limited to marshalling permits, towing permits, Safety Officers and other permits/duties.
  • Ensure training records are kept up to date and that certification renewals are processed in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must hold a valid driving license.
  • Have strong leadership skills, and confident in addressing operational challenges and deficiencies.
  • Possess organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
  • Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in training and operational processes.
  • Have a customer-focused mindset with the ability to assist stakeholders in understanding and complying with operational procedures and application processes.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have an MQF Level 4 or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Malta Qualifications Framework, or an equivalent recognised qualification or hold a valid ICAO English Language Proficiency endorsement at Operational Level 4 or above.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who are familiar with EASA regulations, OPS procedures and general airside duties.
