Requirements

Procurement Manager: This Is Where You Come In

We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to lead MMFS’s procurement operations across all locations and build a function that is efficient, scalable, and highly responsive to the needs of the business.

In this role, you’ll oversee the full purchasing lifecycle - from purchase order processing and supplier coordination through expediting, delivery, issue resolution, and closeout. You’ll ensure procurement activity is accurate, timely, and aligned with MMFS standards, supplier agreements, project requirements, and operational priorities while giving stakeholders clear visibility into orders, timelines, risks, and supplier performance.

As a people leader, you’ll build and develop a high-performing procurement team, establish clear processes and accountability, and create a collaborative, service-oriented culture. You’ll work closely with project, service, operations, finance, and executive leadership to understand business needs, resolve challenges, and ensure procurement is positioned to support organizational growth.

You’ll also help shape the future of MMFS’s procurement function by using data, reporting, technology, and process improvement to reduce inefficiencies, increase visibility, strengthen supplier performance, and improve the experience for internal stakeholders.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, developing people, improving processes, and balancing the demands of daily operations with longer-term strategic initiatives.

This position requires monthly travel to other MMFS office locations to support procurement operations, team development, stakeholder engagement, and process visibility.

What You’ll Do

Procurement Operations

  • Lead day-to-day procurement operations supporting MMFS projects, service operations, and corporate functions across all locations.
  • Own the purchasing process from purchase order creation through supplier confirmation, expediting, delivery, issue resolution, and closeout.
  • Establish effective processes for order tracking, delivery visibility, expediting, and timely resolution of procurement issues.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with MMFS supplier agreements, enterprise standards, purchasing policies, and job specifications.
  • Monitor procurement workload and service levels to ensure internal teams receive timely, accurate, and effective support.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex purchasing, supplier, and operational issues.
  • Balance competing priorities and allocate resources effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, manage, and develop the procurement team through coaching, performance management, hiring, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Establish clear expectations, ownership, and accountability across the team.
  • Assess team structure, workload, and resource needs as the organization grows.
  • Promote cross-training, knowledge sharing, and consistent processes to strengthen team capability and continuity.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-focused culture where team members are empowered to solve problems and take ownership of outcomes.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key suppliers and external partners.
  • Partner with project, service, operations, finance, and leadership teams to understand requirements and resolve purchasing challenges.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address delivery, quality, warranty, pricing, lead-time, and service concerns.
  • Support supplier negotiations and purchasing decisions by evaluating cost, availability, quality, lead time, and overall value.
  • Communicate procurement priorities, risks, trends, and opportunities to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Step in as a senior escalation point when supplier or stakeholder issues require additional attention.

Process Improvement, Reporting & Technology

  • Evaluate procurement workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, service, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards that provide meaningful visibility into purchasing activity, open orders, expediting, supplier performance, and key operational metrics.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs that measure procurement effectiveness, service levels, and team performance.
  • Use procurement data to identify trends, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with internal teams to implement technology, automation, and workflow improvements that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Turn data and operational insights into practical improvements that strengthen the procurement function over time.

Top Deliverables in Your First Year to be a Hero:
