Junior Accountant
LMW HR Group , a growing Group of Companies providing HR and consulting services to both Greek and international clients , is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its team.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting and administrative operations of the Group, working closely with the Finance team across a range of bookkeeping, invoicing and financial administration activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior accounting professional or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience, develop their accounting knowledge and grow within a dynamic and professional business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities .
- Record and process supplier and customer invoices .
- Monitor invoices, receipts and other supporting documentation.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Support bank and account reconciliations and routine accounting checks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
- Perform accounting-related data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients and internal departments regarding invoices and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of basic financial reports and accounting information.
- Support the Finance team during audits and the preparation of relevant documentation.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic accounting files.
- Provide general administrative support to the Accounting and Finance function.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field would be considered an advantage
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience would be considered an asset. More specifically, previous experience in an accounting firm would be highly valued
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping processes .
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office , particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting/ERP software would be considered an advantage.
- Good command of Greek and English , both written and spoken.
- Strong numerical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Quick thinking, strong analytical skills and the ability to understand new concepts, identify issues and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and effective time management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and methodical approach to administrative and accounting tasks.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally .
