LifeByte Systems is hiring an IT System Technician to administer and support internal IT services and SaaS platforms. This full-time role can be based in Shenzhen or Shanghai, China.

Responsibilities

  • Microsoft 365 configuration: Administer user accounts, security groups, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange and OneDrive, including Intune device policies, Windows Autopilot, Conditional Access, audit-log reviews and licence assignment.
  • Jira administration: Configure workflows, permissions and user roles; integrate Jira with other tools and administer Jira Assets.
  • Jira Service Management: Manage IT service requests, incidents and changes. Design request types, queues, SLAs and automation rules across ITIL-aligned incident, request fulfilment, change, problem, knowledge and service-level management practices.
  • Access control: Manage permissions across internal systems so users have appropriate access for their roles and responsibilities.
  • Single sign-on and identity: Set up and maintain SSO using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and other identity platforms, including SAML and SCIM integrations across SaaS applications.
  • Security policies: Implement password policies, MFA and encryption standards in line with best practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • User lifecycle: Maintain secure onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation, role assignment and timely access removal.
  • System lifecycle: Set up and manage internal systems, integrate them securely with existing platforms and maintain alignment with IT security and compliance requirements.
  • Endpoint management: Deploy and manage Windows and Android devices through Microsoft Intune and Apple devices through Jamf; enforce security and compliance policies and provide remote support.
  • System and network security: Monitor logs, conduct regular security audits, and respond to and mitigate security incidents.
  • Automation: Automate user management, access control and system configuration using PowerShell, Bash or other scripting languages, as well as Jira/JSM automation rules.
  • Compliance and auditing: Support applicable compliance requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA or other relevant standards where applicable, and participate in internal and external audits.
  • IT service management: Use JSM as the system of record; maintain queue hygiene, SLA compliance and accurate ticket categorisation across ITIL-aligned practices.
  • Knowledge and documentation: Create and maintain runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Base articles in Confluence.
  • Vendor and licence management: Coordinate with SaaS vendors and internal Compliance and Finance teams on renewals, seat planning, tier upgrades and order-form approvals.
  • Change management: Plan, document and implement changes under appropriate peer or stakeholder review, with rollback procedures and clear user communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration or IT systems configuration.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Experience administering Jira user roles, permissions and workflows.
  • Experience using Jira Service Management for IT service requests and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of SSO technologies, particularly Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and other identity management platforms.
  • Familiarity with access control and user provisioning and de-provisioning.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, encryption and vulnerability management.
  • Strong PowerShell and Bash scripting skills for task automation.
  • Awareness of and exposure to ITIL 4 practices, including incident, request fulfilment, change, problem, knowledge, service-level and vendor management.
  • Experience administering SaaS platforms.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills, including authoring runbooks and Knowledge Base articles and working with dashboards and metrics.
  • Experience with Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Exposure to enterprise AI tooling is a plus.
