Are you an organised automotive professional who thrives on coordination, customer service and keeping things moving?

We’re looking for a Workshop FENZ Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) fleet vehicles through our workshop.

This is a key role where your organisation, communication and attention to detail will directly contribute to keeping emergency response vehicles safe, compliant and ready for service .

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate the booking, scheduling and workflow of FENZ vehicles through the workshop.
  • Plan and prioritise servicing, repairs, warranty work and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor job progress and keep FENZ representatives and internal teams informed.
  • Act as the key point of contact for FENZ fleet representatives , building strong and professional relationships.
  • Coordinate COF inspections, certification, preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
  • Work closely with technicians, Parts, suppliers and subcontractors to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Ensure workshop documentation, service records and warranty claims are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor turnaround times, vehicle availability and service level requirements.
  • Prepare fleet and workshop reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Workshop Manager to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and fleet availability.
  • Champion a strong focus on health, safety, compliance and quality .

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident dealing with customers and multiple stakeholders.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in workshop administration, service advising, fleet coordination or automotive operations .
  • Strong scheduling, planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced workshop environment.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and workshop management systems .
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to keep things moving when priorities change.

Experience that would be a bonus

  • Emergency services or government fleet experience.
  • Heavy vehicle or commercial transport experience.
  • Knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of COF, certification and fleet maintenance processes .
  • Experience with dealership management or fleet maintenance systems.
