Internship at KAYA Germany

Your mission We offer a 6-month unpaid internship in our Berlin office for university students studying fields relevant to KAYA’s work. The internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience, apply academic knowledge to real projects, and learn about the development and implementation of nature-based solutions in an international working environment. Your responsibilities Depending on your background and KAYA’s current projects, you may support our team with:

• Research related to forestry, natureconservationand restoration
• Research and analysis of environmental and ecological topics
• Support for nature-based solutions and climate projects
• GIS, remotesensingor spatial data analysis
• Data collection,processingand documentation
• Preparation of reports,presentationsand project materials
• Support with project development and feasibility assessments
• Other tasks related to KAYA’s ongoing projects and areas of expertise

The exact responsibilities will depend on your academic background, skills, and the projects available during your internship. Your profile We welcome applications from students studying subjects such as:

• Forestry and Forest Sciences
• Environmental Sciences
• Nature Conservation
• Ecology
• Natural Resource Management
• Geography
• Environmental Engineering
• Remote Sensing / GIS
• Agriculture or related fields

We are particularly interested in students who:

• Are currently enrolled at a universityin Berlinand require an internship as part of their studyprogram
• Have a genuine interest in climate action, natureconservationand sustainable land management
• Are eager to gain practical experience and learn from an international team
• Have good analytical and research skills
• Are comfortable working independently and as part of ateam and are able to work from our office several times per week.
• Have good English communication skills
