Senior Estimator

Due to continued expansion, we require a Senior Estimator to join our successful preconstruction team.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation of timely detailed cost estimates in support of tender bids.
• Engage with the supply chain during the tender process to secure accurate pricing for packages of works.
• Ensure effective handover of tender estimates to project teams when the contract has been awarded.
• Maintain a strategic oversight of macro conditions in developing bid-winning strategies.
• Mentor and coach the estimators to assist the development of their careers within Estimating.

Requirements

• Relevant Third level BSc in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience as a building estimator, more recently as a Senior Estimator
• Previous experience with a main contractor (ideally Residential, RC Frame, Retail/Commercial, Pharma, Data Centres, Hi-Tech)
• Analytical approach to estimating
• Ability to prioritise work requirements
• IT Skills – MS Office packages and database experience
• Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others
