Freelance Translator

We are seeking a Freelance Tamil Translator to deliver high-quality translations, refine machine-translated text, perform fact-checking research, and produce client-ready English reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Tamil & English Translation: Provide Tamil-to-English (and vice versa) outputs ranging from short summaries and long summaries to full verbatim translations.
• MTPE & Error Correction: Fix machine-translated text to ensure natural, professional phrasing while removing false information or AI errors.
• Style & Tone Alignment: Adjust English outputs to follow client style guides, ensuring correct tone and brand alignment.
• Fact-Checking & Research: Verify names, dates, and technical facts through external research to ensure AI-generated content is accurate.
• Contextual Enrichment: Conduct extra research to add important details or context that AI tools may have missed.
• Client-Ready Reporting: Turn research findings into simple, easy-to-read English reports ready for client delivery.
• Efficiency & Quality Balance: Balance AI tools with careful human review to complete large volumes of work on time and to a high standard.
• Client Adaptation: Learn specific client needs and adapt writing or research styles to match their goals.

Requirements

• Fluency in Tamil and English (written).
• Experience in translation, machine translation post-editing, or research writing.
• Strong research skills with high attention to factual accuracy and detail.
• Ability to adapt writing and research styles to specific client style guides.
• Ability to handle high-volume work and meet strict deadlines.
