Legal Counsel

Job responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to the company's management and departments on a wide range of legal issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company's interests are protected.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and advise on potential legal risks and liabilities.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to manage complex legal matters.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to promote best practices and mitigate risks.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on legal and compliance matters.

Job requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• At least five years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Exposure to cross-border transactions, technology, cloud services, data centres, or infrastructure is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including customer, supplier, procurement, services, confidentiality, and strategic partnership contracts.

-Working knowledge of Singapore and Southeast Asian requirements relating to corporate governance, data protection, intellectual property, employment matters, and commercial compliance.
