C&S Senior Site Engineer Railway, Penang

About the company: Our client is a Malaysian construction and civil engineering company that operates mainly in infrastructure, roadworks and building projects.

Job responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all civil and structural engineering activities on the railway project site in Penang.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and ensure quality control.
• Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
• Identify and resolve any engineering issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff.
• Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly adhered to on site.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on railway projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and regulations related to railway construction.
• Proven experience in project management and site supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
• Willingness to be based in Penang and travel to project sites as required.

Location: Gelugor, Penang

Salary: Up to MYR 8,000 (Total Package)
