We are seeking a Manager – Stores & Dispatch to lead and modernize our Stores function. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, inventory optimization, digital transformation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can transform traditional material handling into a technology‑enabled, data‑driven inventory management system.

Job Purpose-Why This Role Matters

We are seeking a Manager – Stores & Dispatch to lead and modernize our Stores function. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, inventory optimization, digital transformation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can transform traditional material handling into a technology‑enabled, data‑driven inventory management system.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end stores operations including receipt, storage, preservation, issue, transfer, return, and dispatch.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, and systematic variance analysis.
  • Drive digital transformation with ERP/MRP integration, barcode/QR systems, and real‑time reporting.
  • Support production flow by ensuring timely material availability and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Manage dispatch operations including vehicle planning, packing, transportation, and delivery reliability.
  • Enforce safety & compliance in handling heavy, magnetic, fragile, and high‑value materials.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S/6S) to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and mentor teams through coaching, cross‑training, and succession planning.

Candidate Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 12–15+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, heavy engineering, fabrication, or project‑based industries.
  • Strong expertise in inventory optimization, ABC analysis, FIFO/FEFO, cycle counting, and reconciliation .
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP/MRP systems and warehouse digitalization.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills including team building, delegation, coaching, and succession development.
  • Self‑driven, analytical, and proactive with a focus on cost and process improvement.
  • Additional qualifications in Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations are an advantage.
