Senior Project Manager

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Strategic Delivery team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering strategic change across the charity. Working across a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive successful outcomes that support our mission and long-term goals.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and deliver measurable benefits. You will work within an established programme governance structure and have the opportunity to influence project management best practice across the organisation.

As our Senior Project Manager, you will:

• Lead the successful delivery of strategic projects, ensuring objectives, timescales, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, registers and documentation, ensuring effective resource allocation and management.
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to project sponsors and programme boards.
• Act as the central point of contact for project governance, planning and delivery.
• Engage and coordinate stakeholders, subject matter experts and end users throughout project lifecycles to ensure alignment and adoption.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, dependencies and changes to scope.
• Support the development of business cases to secure project approval and funding.
• Champion project management best practice and coach colleagues across the charity.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management frameworks, templates and documentation to ensure consistency and quality across DofE.
