  • Manage, coach and develop one direct report, setting priorities and objectives and maintaining strong review and quality-control standards.
  • Review financial submissions, resolve reporting issues and perform or review consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations, adjustments and foreign currency translation. Support consolidated financial statements and disclosures under the Group’s accounting framework, currently UK GAAP.
  • Provide practical guidance to European finance teams on accounting policies and reporting requirements, and coordinate finance support for local statutory audits and the Group audit.
  • Strengthen reporting controls, guidance and templates, and drive standardization, automation and improvements to consolidation systems, including Tagetik. Contribute to finance transformation and system implementation projects.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent relevant professional experience in accounting, finance or a related field, and substantial experience in group consolidation, financial reporting and/or external audit in a complex organization or professional services environment.
  • Strong technical accounting and consolidation knowledge, with experience coordinating reporting across multiple entities and currencies. Knowledge of UK GAAP is strongly preferred.

  • A recognized accounting qualification, or substantial progress towards one, is preferred. Experience in a Big Four or comparable audit/advisory firm, a senior group consolidation role, professional services or a partnership environment would be valuable, as would cross-country process improvement or finance-system implementation experience.
