Site IT Infrastructure Specialist (Onsite, Rotkreuz, English, German)

Responsibilites

Local IT Infrastructure

• Central point of contact for the local IT infrastructure at the Rotkreuz site (CHRK) and representative of local requirements toward regional and global IT teams
• Ensuring a stable, available, secure, and properly maintained IT infrastructure
• Coordination and escalation of infrastructure incidents and support during site-wide outages
• Planning and coordination of maintenance, downtimes, upgrades, and infrastructure changes in compliance with change management and approval processes

Network & Infrastructure

• Monitoring of the local LAN, WLAN, WAN, and internet infrastructure, and coordination of upgrades, expansions, and fault resolution
• Coordination of the installation, replacement, decommissioning, and lifecycle management of infrastructure hardware
• Ensuring proper maintenance of network cabinets, switches, access points, and cabling

Projects & Service Providers

• Support for office relocations, renovations, new construction, and new laboratory and production areas
• Coordination of cabling, network, WLAN, and technical installations, and collaboration with architects, facility management, engineering, and external service providers
• Coordination and oversight of on-site IT service providers, including access, execution, and acceptance of the work

Security & Business Continuity

• Ensuring compliance with IT security, compliance, and architecture standards, and supporting audits and vulnerability remediation
• Supporting business continuity and disaster recovery measures, including the restoration of local infrastructure and testing of resilience measures
• Maintaining the required infrastructure documentation and communicating infrastructure risks to site and IT management

Stakeholder Management

• Close collaboration with Service Desk / End User Computing, Network, Server & Cloud, Cybersecurity, Facilities / Engineering, Application Owners, Project Managers, and external infrastructure service providers
• Translating local business requirements into technical infrastructure requirements and communicating central IT standards to local stakeholders

Requirements

• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, IT operations, network engineering, or a comparable role
• Solid knowledge of LAN, WLAN, WAN, internet connectivity, and basic network infrastructure
• Experience with infrastructure hardware, lifecycle management, and technical infrastructure projects
• Experience in coordinating incidents, escalations, and external IT service providers
• Knowledge of IT security, change management, compliance, as well as business continuity and disaster recovery is an advantage
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong communication and coordination skills, and a professional approach when dealing with different stakeholders
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
• Candidates must provide a criminal record extract (not older than three months)
