About the role:
- Manage and support workshop technicians, including scheduling, performance monitoring, coaching, and addressing employee matters.
- Manage daily workshop operations to ensure fast, safe, and high-quality service while leading a team of technicians.
- Ensure accurate job documentation, monitor productivity, and work progress, and maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate work schedules, ensure timely unit delivery, support technical modifications, and perform pre-delivery checks.
- Oversee inspection, tagging, and maintenance of rental units, batteries, and floor stock in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with EHS standards, conduct inspections, and report incidents as per guidelines.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Safety
- Plan and coordinate daily work assignments for technicians to ensure efficient workflow and resource utilization.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance technical skills and performance.
- Address and resolve routine employee matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote and enforce compliance with company safety policies and workplace regulations.
- Conduct regular workshop inspections to identify, mitigate, and report potential safety hazards.
- Investigate, document, and report incidents in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to the team as required.
Workshop Administration
- Monitor and track job progress to ensure timely completion of work.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and in accordance with established standards.
- Measure and monitor team productivity, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment.
- Oversee the maintenance, condition, and availability of tools and equipment.
- Communicate project status and operational updates to relevant internal stakeholders.
Equipment & Quality Control
- Ensure customer deliveries are completed on schedule and meet quality expectations.
- Oversee the maintenance and readiness of rental equipment for deployment.
- Verify that equipment modifications comply with engineering specifications and company standards.
- Perform final inspections and quality checks prior to equipment delivery.
- Manage the off-hire process for rental trucks and batteries, including inspection and condition assessment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, special projects, and other duties as assigned by management.
- Provide operational support across the department as required to meet business objectives.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Proven experience in supervisory or management roles, preferably within industrial environments
- Experience in capital equipment sales and servicing is an added advantage
- Strong customer focus with effective relationship management skills
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Solid technical knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Strong people management capabilities.
