- Decontaminates instruments/sets and patient care equipment using thorough cleaning and disinfecting practices as they are returned to SPD
- Consistently performs sterilization functions in a manner in accordance with written manufacture recommendations that provides sterile, complete and patient ready supplies when needed by user areas
- Maintains accurate sterilization procedure records, checks sterilizer recorder charts for proper functioning of sterilizing temperatures, pressures and time cycles for each load, performs Bowie and Dick Test daily and spore test daily and with each load that contains implantable devices, and immediately reports malfunctions to the SPD supervisor
