Senior Platform Engineer
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the platform engineering team at a B2B AI software company and build the foundations that help AI products perform reliably in production. Your work will support real-time data flows, streaming responses, and LLM requests while balancing reliability, performance, and cost.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Integrate AI products that process data from external sources and multiple systems in real time.
- Route streaming responses and LLM requests across providers, with fallback and cost logic.
- Monitor latency, costs, and error rates, then act proactively to prevent system degradation.
- Use sound architectural judgment to improve system quality while keeping designs simple and maintainable.
- Build instrumentation and observability that surface missing signals and help diagnose complex production issues.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of production platform foundations.
- Strong TypeScript skills and practical knowledge of PostgreSQL, APIs, queues, and caching.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- System design skills and the ability to reason about performance, latency, and cost trade-offs.
- Experience with multi-system real-time context, streaming responses, and LLM routing across providers.
- A track record of improving reliability and performance under production load.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual salary range: $60,000 to $90,000 USD.

On-site in Munich, Germany.
