Founding Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI and logistics technology team as a Founding Engineer. You will combine customer discovery with hands-on full-stack engineering to turn AI agent demos into reliable, production-ready tools for freight operations, while helping shape product and technical direction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead customer conversations and translate operational insights into product features and technical strategy.
• Design and build full-stack applications and advance the product's AI capabilities.
• Move prototypes and demos toward scalable, high-quality production systems.
• Make pragmatic architecture decisions and help shape the product and engineering direction.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.
• Broad product-engineering experience across backend systems and user-facing applications, rather than a focus limited to one discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React, as well as Python backend development.
• Experience shipping customer-facing LLM features or agents in production, including LLM design patterns, vector stores, and model fine-tuning.
• Experience building and deploying scalable products from MVP to production, including moving beyond prototype or demo stages.
• Ability to lead customer conversations, turn feedback into product requirements, and make sensible early-stage architecture trade-offs.
• Experience in a startup or other early-stage environment; freight or logistics technology experience is relevant.

Hybrid in Berlin, Germany. Candidates should be willing to work from Berlin or relocate there.
