AI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a seed-stage AI productivity startup building a fast-moving engineering team, and we are looking for AI Engineers to own two core technical challenges: scaling backend infrastructure and optimizing LLM and AI agent flows that power the product. Your work will have a direct and immediate impact on platform performance and the experience of every user.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and implement backend systems and services built to operate at scale.
• Tune and iterate on LLM integrations and agent orchestration to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Own outcomes end-to-end, from architectural decisions through to shipping production software.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Substantial hands-on track record of coding and shipping software in production environments.
• Strong backend engineering experience designing and scaling distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience optimizing LLMs and AI agent flows in production.
• Experience working at a fast-growing startup, with the agency and ownership mindset that comes with it.
• A portfolio of side projects that demonstrates technical depth and sustained curiosity.
• Intentional career choices that reflect a genuine commitment to the craft of engineering.
• Comfortable thriving in a small, high-velocity team environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $80,000 to $120,000 USD per year, plus equity. The salary and equity mix is negotiable, with additional flexibility for exceptionally senior candidates. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be eligible to work in Sweden.

LOCATION

This is a fully on-site role based in Stockholm, Sweden. Candidates must be willing and legally able to work on-site in Stockholm, including relocation if necessary.
