Senior Accounting Manager (FP&A Focus), bilingual in Korean

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager with strong Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience to lead key accounting and financial operations. This role blends technical accounting expertise with forward-looking financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep experience in cost accounting and operational finance and the ability to effectively communicate in both Korean and English.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Analyze financial performance, including variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and key cost drivers
• Develop and maintain financial models to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to drive cost efficiencies and profitability
• Prepare executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI analysis

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

• Oversee cost accounting functions including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
• Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and overhead allocation
• Monitor inventory controls, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes
• Partner with procurement and operations teams to manage raw material costs and margins
• Support continuous improvement initiatives with data-driven financial insights

Leadership & Process Improvement

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
• Support ERP system enhancements and financial reporting tools optimization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment (required)
• Demonstrated experience in cost accounting and operational finance
• Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
• Experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
• Bilingual in Korean and English (required)
