[Job Summary]

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Benefits Administrator to manage and oversee our employee benefits programs while supporting general Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring our benefits offerings are administered accurately, comply with regulations, and support employee engagement and retention.

[Job Description]

Benefits Administration (Primary Focus):

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA/HSA, wellness, retirement (401(k)/403(b)), and other voluntary benefits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and issues.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HRIS and with benefits providers.
  • Conduct new hire benefit orientations and annual open enrollment.
  • Reconcile benefits invoices and ensure timely, accurate payment and payroll deductions.
  • Maintain up-to-date benefits documentation, plan summaries, and employee communication materials.
  • Stay informed of legislative changes impacting benefits (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FAMLI, FMLA) and ensure company compliance.
  • Work with brokers, carriers, and vendors to resolve issues and manage renewals.
  • Analyze benefits data to support budgeting, cost control, and strategic planning.

General Human Resources Support:

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy in the HRIS system.
  • Support employee leave administration including FMLA, FAMLI, and other leave types.
  • Contribute to HR projects such as policy updates, employee engagement initiatives, and compliance audits.
  • Respond to routine employee questions related to HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration and general HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HRIS systems, Paycom preferred.
  • Benefits certification (CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP) is a plus.
