Consultant Analyst - Business & Change (Guernsey 2026)
Bring Your Experience. Build Your Analysis Career.
Build your career as a Business Analyst with CBO, where variety, professional growth and solving complex business problems are at the heart of what we do.
We’re looking for experienced professionals who have built a strong foundation in areas such as operations, analysis, change, digital or data and want to develop that experience into a career in consulting. You might already be working as a Business Analyst, or you may have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills through another role and be ready to apply them more widely.
We’re particularly interested in people who have already gained experience in commercially focused organisations, ideally within financial services, legal, insurance, professional services or another complex or regulated environment. You should have developed a strong understanding of how businesses operate and how processes, systems and information come together, with experience working with stakeholders to understand problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
At CBO, you’ll build on that experience through a variety of client engagements. Our work spans process and operational improvement, requirements definition, data and information analysis, technology implementation and wider business change. You don’t need to be a technical specialist, but you should be comfortable working with technology, understanding how digital change affects a business and getting into the detail when needed.
The role is designed to build on the experience you already have and develop a broad analysis and consulting skillset. Working across different clients and types of engagement will give you the opportunity to develop new skills, explore different areas of Business Analysis and, over time, develop deeper expertise in the areas that best match your strengths and interests.
Your development will combine real client delivery with mentoring, quality assurance and structured professional development, including the opportunity to work towards relevant modules of the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis. As your experience develops, you’ll take on greater responsibility for your work and your contribution to client engagements.
What working at CBO offers
Variety and meaningful work: Work across different clients, sectors and types of change, applying the experience you already have while continually developing new analytical and consulting skills.
The opportunity to develop quickly: Build a broader analysis toolkit, gain exposure to different areas of Business Analysis and develop deeper expertise as your experience and interests evolve.
High-quality professional support: Work alongside experienced analysts and consultants, with mentoring, quality assurance and access to specialist expertise to support your development.
A strong professional community: Join people who enjoy solving problems, sharing knowledge and learning from each other. Our Communities of Practice bring together colleagues from across CBO to develop our approaches, share experience and improve how we work.
The opportunity to make an impact: Take genuine responsibility for client work, contribute ideas and help shape solutions, while also playing an active role in the continued growth and development of CBO.
At CBO, we’ve built a friendly, collaborative environment where people are trusted to contribute, encouraged to keep developing and supported to do work they can be proud of.
For someone with strong professional experience who wants greater variety, challenge and opportunity, CBO provides the chance to build on that foundation and develop a rewarding career in analysis and consulting.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation of professional experience who is ready to apply and develop that experience in a consulting environment.
You should have:
- Relevant professional experience: At least 3 years’ experience in operations, analysis, change, digital/technology or another role where you have been involved in understanding and solving business problems.
- Commercial experience: Experience working in a commercial environment, ideally within financial services, legal, insurance, professional services or another regulated or operationally complex organisation.
- Digital and technology confidence: Comfortable working with business systems and technology, with the curiosity to understand how processes, systems and information fit together. You don’t need to be a developer or technical specialist, but you should be willing and able to get into the detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Able to understand a problem, work through information logically, identify what matters and turn your findings into clear actions or recommendations.
- Experience delivering change or improvement: Practical experience contributing to projects, process improvement, technology implementation, operational change or other business improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder and communication skills: Confident working with people at different levels, asking good questions, challenging constructively and communicating complex information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Ownership and adaptability: Able to manage your own work and priorities, take responsibility for delivery and adapt quickly to different clients, organisations and subject areas.
Previous consultancy or Business Analysis experience is valuable, but it isn’t essential. We’re equally interested in people who have developed these capabilities within industry and are now ready to apply them across a broader range of clients and challenges.
