Business Development Representative (BDR)
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within target segments (e.g. family offices, EAMs, private banks).
- Conduct detailed market mapping and research of priority segments to identify potential accounts and key stakeholders.
- Execute outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone.
- Book and manage qualified meetings.
- Research and segment leads based on Canopy’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Engage leads using tailored messaging and report prospect insights to the team.
- Collaborate with Marketing to optimize outreach strategies and content.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM records of all lead interactions.
- Provide feedback to internal teams based on prospect and market conversations
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or client-facing role (experience in fintech, SaaS, or private wealth preferred).
- Strong interest or understanding of financial services, wealth management, or technology.
- Proactive communicator who is organized, resilient, and goal-oriented.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to learn product features and confidently deliver introductory demos.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn, or similar.
- Prior exposure to private banking or family office networks.
- Additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are a plus.
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment
