Head of Trading Certificates

The Candidate As Head of Trading Certificates you will be responsible for leading the firm’s renewable trading activities across power, gas, and renewable certificates in markets including Spain, Sweden, Norway, Italy, and the USA. You will own trading strategy, portfolio performance, and P&L delivery across all horizons, ensuring alignment with the firm’s risk appetite and commercial objectives. You will be responsible for driving trading performance in volatile energy markets, identifying opportunities, and optimizing positioning across the portfolio. You will be responsible for leading and developing trading teams across multiple regions, working closely with risk, quant, and analytics functions to support disciplined and profitable growth while ensuring compliance with relevant market regulations. The Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Energy Management, or a related field
• 5–10+ years of experience in financial, commodity, power, gas, or renewable energy trading, with strong exposure to European wholesale energy markets
• Willingness and ability to travel to the USA 4–6 times per year
• Proven commercial trading track record, including P&L responsibility, portfolio management, and execution of trading strategies in volatile markets
• Experience managing and optimizing power, gas and/or biomethane portfolios, with strong understanding of physical and financial energy flows
• Strong programming or coding skills (e.g. Python or similar), with experience using data, automation, and analytics to support trading decisions
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing trading teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop strategies, and drive revenue growth
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are considered a plus
