AI-Native Product Designer
AI-Native Product Designer
About the Company
We're partnering with an AI-native operating system for supply chains used by wholesalers, manufacturers, retailers, and traders. The platform integrates logistics and procurement data through connections with internal and external systems, enabling predictive analytics and automated workflows that improve fill rates, reduce inventory levels, and optimize cash-to-cash cycle time.
By leveraging predictive analytics and automation, the company helps large enterprises reduce costs, unlock additional revenue, and prevent under- or over-stocking across complex global supply chains.
Role Overview
The AI-Native Product Designer owns the design and experience of the company's product in an AI-first environment.
The way product design works here has fundamentally changed. Technical design knowledge no longer ends at execution — it becomes the language used to direct and collaborate with AI. This role requires someone who understands that shift deeply, is hungry to explore what's possible in an AI-native environment, and can translate complex operational realities into product experiences that are intuitive, consistent, and ready to ship.
This is an individual contributor role, working closely with the Head of Experience, the AI Engineering team, Technology Team, and customer-facing teams in Sales and Implementation to ensure the product reflects real operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
AI-directed design
- Use AI tools actively and fluently as part of the design workflow — not as a shortcut, but as a design collaborator
- Apply technical design expertise to direct AI outputs toward high-quality, production-ready results
- Stay ahead of emerging AI design tools, techniques, and patterns — and bring that knowledge back to the team
- Explore what AI-native product experiences look and feel like — and push the product in that direction
Product design & execution
- Design end-to-end product experiences: screens, flows, interactions, and AI-driven interfaces
- Own design delivery from concept through handoff — with Figma deliverables of a quality that reduces back-and-forth with Engineering to a minimum
- Maintain and evolve the company's design system and interaction patterns to ensure consistency and scalability
- Iterate based on feedback from Engineering, commercial teams, and customer insights — balancing speed with quality
Collaboration with Engineering & Technology
- Work closely with Engineers — especially the AI team — to design solutions that are buildable and technically sound
- Participate actively in developer conversations to clarify design intent, edge cases, and interactions during implementation
- Ensure design quality is preserved through development — with full independence and without requiring constant oversight
Customer & market proximity
- Connect regularly with Sales and Implementation teams to capture customer feedback and real operational context
- Translate customer complaints, requests, and friction points into product improvements — acting as the bridge between what clients experience and what gets built
- Validate design decisions against real usage patterns and market expectations in logistics and B2B platforms
- Bring proactive proposals based on their own findings — not just translating feedback, but connecting dots and showing up with ideas
Profile We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Product Designer in B2B or complex product environments
- Experience designing for or building AI-native products — not just products with AI features bolted on, but products where AI is core to the experience
- Highly fluent with Figma and AI-powered design tools for design, prototyping, and collaboration
- Comfortable in close, ongoing collaboration with Engineering — participating in technical discussions and supporting implementation
- Ability to design data-heavy and workflow-driven interfaces for operational B2B environments
- Autonomous, proactive, and vocal — brings ideas and pushes initiatives forward without waiting to be directed
- Hungry to explore what's possible — not just delivering, but constantly asking what we could do better or differently
- Comfortable operating with speed and quality in a fast-moving startup environment
