Cybersecurity Project Manager

Role Description

This full-time CyberSecurity Project Manager role is a hybrid position based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for partial work from home. The CyberSecurity Project Manager oversees end-to-end delivery of offensive security engagements across BreachLock's platform, including ASM, autonomous pentesting, and PTaaS initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and coordinating project scopes, timelines, and resources; liaising with internal pentesters, engineers, and client stakeholders; and ensuring that testing activities are aligned with regulatory frameworks and client requirements. As the primary point of contact for enterprise clients, the role manages scope and change requests, handles escalations, and delivers regular progress reporting to client security and executive stakeholders. The role involves tracking project milestones, managing risks and dependencies, expediting critical tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation and status reports. The CyberSecurity Project Manager also supports continuous improvement of delivery processes, contributes to playbooks and best practices, and helps translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.

Qualifications

• Strong project delivery skills, including Project Management expertise and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder cybersecurity or technical programs.
• Experience managing enterprise clients, including stakeholder management across security, IT, and executive teams, client reporting, and escalation handling.
• Strong scope management skills, including defining rules of engagement and in-scope assets and managing change requests and scope creep.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks, demonstrated Expeditor and Expediting capabilities to keep critical activities on schedule in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Inspection processes and quality control, ensuring testing outputs, reports, and remediation plans meet defined standards and client expectations.
• Logistics Management skills to organize resources, schedules, and cross-regional teams, and to align project workflows across multiple time zones and functions.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity, offensive security, or IT consulting; familiarity with penetration testing, ASM, and security frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Background in networking and network security (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation), with an understanding of network and infrastructure penetration testing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical content into clear, non-technical language for diverse audiences.
