On The Job Training - Trainee Staff Bobopod Malioboro

Our On the Job Training (OJT) programme at Bobopod Malioboro gives SMA/SMK students and recent graduates hands-on experience in both Front Office and Housekeeping, working alongside our hosts in a tech-driven capsule hotel.

What you will do:

Front Office: Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Assist the main host in welcoming guests during check-in and check-out using the Bobobox HCS system.
• Support the main host in greeting guests and verifying reservations in a professional and courteous manner.
• Help respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, complaints and special requests, under supervision.
• Operate guest-facing technology (self check-in, smart door access, room control system) with help from the main host.
• Help guests use the Bobobox app and digital platforms for booking, payment and feedback, and encourage them to share feedback.

Housekeeping: Room & Facility Care

• Clean and prepare pods to Bobobox cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Deep-clean pods as scheduled (including walls, flooring, air vents and control panels).
• Keep public areas (communal spaces, hallways, reception, bathrooms) clean and tidy, and restock toiletries, tissues and other guest supplies.
• Handle pod interiors and control panels with care, and follow sanitisation procedures, especially for high-touch surfaces.
• Use cleaning chemicals and tools safely and follow all health, safety and hygiene rules.
• Greet and assist guests during cleaning rounds, and respond to requests for extra amenities, linens or urgent cleaning.

You will fit in this job if you:

• Are an SMA/SMK student or recent graduate, ideally from a Hospitality or Tourism programme.
• Have basic computer skills and can use hospitality software, mobile apps and smart devices.
• Communicate clearly in Bahasa Indonesia and have basic English; other languages are a plus.
• Are friendly, professional and guest-oriented.
• Are flexible, proactive and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Adapt quickly to new procedures and technology, and are eager to learn.
