Shuttering Carpenter

To supervise and carry out all aspects of formwork (shuttering) operations for concrete structures, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Set out and construct formwork for foundations, columns, walls, beams, slabs, staircases, and other reinforced concrete structures.
  • Measure, cut and assemble timber, plywood and proprietary formwork systems
  • Have a knowledge of formwork systems such as Perri or Doka
  • Strong knowledge of formwork and construction method
  • Assemble, erect, alter, and dismantle traditional and proprietary formwork systems.
  • Ensure formwork dimensions, levels, and alignment comply with project requirements.
  • Be proficiency with hand tools and power tools
  • Install and maintain temporary works associated with formwork operations.
  • Carry out quality checks before concrete pours.
  • Identify and rectify defects or inaccuracies in formwork installations.
  • Attention to detail and Quality workman ship
  • Assist with other site duties when required
