Staff Auditor - Indirect Cost Rate Reviews

Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, financial and grants-management services, compliance and audit support, and applied data and infrastructure research.

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.

AlphaGov is seeking Staff Auditors to execute high-volume indirect cost rate reviews and support audits under a multi-year public-sector work-order vehicle — including desk reviews, overhead audits of consulting firms, and contract cost audits.

What you'll do: Execute indirect cost rate and overhead desk reviews under work-order assignments Support GAGAS-compliant audits and produce complete review workpapers Apply FAR Part 31 / AASHTO Audit Guide concepts to consulting-firm overhead reviews Coordinate with the lead auditor and client compliance staff on findings and documentation Contribute auditor qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned

Requirements

Required: Degree in an accounting-related field with a minimum of 27 semester hours in accounting (transcripts/diplomas required) Indirect-cost, overhead, or related compliance-audit experience Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with moderate-to-heavy travel to Springfield, IL and statewide client facilities

Nice to have: FAR Part 31 / AASHTO Audit Guide experience Consulting-firm overhead audit experience CPA 1–2 prior indirect-cost or overhead-audit engagements you can cite
