IT Systems IV&V Specialist (Verification & Validation)

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.

AlphaGov is seeking an IT Systems IV&V Specialist to support independent verification and validation, IT advisory, and assessment work for a statewide public-agency technology vehicle — covering quality assurance for systems implementations, readiness assessments, and independent findings for agency leadership.

What you'll do:

• Plan and execute independent verification and validation activities for public-agency IT systems and implementations
• Assess solution readiness, requirements traceability, test coverage, and go-live risk
• Produce clear IV&V findings, risk registers, and client-ready recommendations
• Advise on IT advisory / assessment workstreams adjacent to IV&V (architecture review, implementation oversight)
• Contribute IV&V qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned

Requirements

Required:

• Hands-on IT systems verification and validation (IV&V) or independent quality-assurance experience
• Public-sector, higher-education, or large-enterprise systems implementation background
• Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites

Nice to have:

• Statewide or multi-agency IV&V / PMO oversight experience
• Familiarity with IEEE / ISO IV&V practices or equivalent public-agency QA frameworks
• Prior Arizona or Southwest state-agency IT consulting
