About the Workforce Intelligence Lab (WIL)
The Workforce Intelligence Lab (WIL) is an applied workforce intelligence initiative focused on construction labor markets, workforce planning systems, compensation intelligence, labor scarcity analysis, and operational workforce visibility. WIL develops frameworks and regional labor market analysis for operational decision-making across the construction industry, synthesizing publicly available labor data, compensation trends, contractor growth indicators, workforce demand signals, and construction activity.

We engage experienced practitioners for both full-time employment and project-based contract roles, as applicable to the award and staffing model. Engagements are remote-first with travel as required for partner and field sites. We build ready teams for live grant and sponsored-research pursuits.
This opportunity is contingent upon grant or sponsored-project award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal or funding package.
About the role
WIL is seeking experienced construction and operational leaders to participate as Executive Fellows. Executive Fellows contribute operational perspective, workforce planning insight, and industry interpretation on the construction industry and built environment.
This is a flexible, remote, advisory-oriented fellowship designed around limited monthly participation. Full-time employment or a project-based contract may be scoped when an award calls for it.

Join workforce planning and labor market interpretation discussions Contribute operational workforce analysis and framework feedback Interpret compensation and hiring trends and execution-capacity constraints Advise on contractor workforce visibility and regional workforce initiatives Review workforce intelligence frameworks against field conditions Support industry trend interpretation and operational validation
Requirements
Required
Construction leadership experience in operations, project management, preconstruction, workforce planning, estimating, labor planning, contractor growth, or field operations Background such as Director of Construction, VP of Operations, Operations Manager, Senior Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, Chief Estimator, Preconstruction Executive, or a similar role Experience in commercial, infrastructure, mission-critical, industrial, civil, or specialty-trades construction is highly relevant Open to full-time employment or project-based contract engagement; remote-first with travel as partner and field work requires
