Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Paediatrician to provide high-quality specialist care to infants, children and adolescents in a predominantly outpatient setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Paediatrician looking to develop a busy community-based specialist practice with exceptional earning potential , while working alongside Family Physicians, specialists and allied healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of paediatric presentations
• Provide specialist consultations for infants, children and adolescents
• Manage acute, chronic and complex paediatric conditions
• Assess developmental, behavioural and growth concerns
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations
• Coordinate referrals and ongoing care with Family Physicians and other specialists
• Provide preventative healthcare and guidance to children and their families
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Qualifications

• Medical Degree with recognised postgraduate training in Paediatrics
• Specialist certification in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent international specialist qualification
• Internationally trained Paediatricians with recognised UK, US, Australian or equivalent specialist training are encouraged to apply, subject to Ontario licensing eligibility
• Eligible for independent practice with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, child- and family-centred approach
